In the 66th minute of the second half, Colorado replaced Yapi, Harris, and Galvan with Michael Barrios, Kevin Cabral, and Jonathan Lewis, opening up new attacking opportunities. Lewis, Barrios, and Cabral troubled Houston's defenders after being substituted. In particular, Barrios caused tension for the Houston goalkeeper by connecting threatening passes from the right side of the opponent's penalty area. Cabral also had a decisive opportunity, but the ball narrowly missed his foot. Throughout the game, both teams were unable to score. With this game, Houston ranked 9th with 29 points, while Colorado ranked 14th with 19 points.
